The Motiva "Imagine Port Arthur" Project is underway and the City is excited about the revitalization and development in our downtown area! Along with this promising project, there will be street closures for our citizens beginning December 9, 2019, and continuing until December 31, 2021. The map below shows the areas to be closed during the repairs to the Federal Building and the Adams Building, as well as detours and traffic flow. Phase 1 of this project will include a half-closure of Austin Avenue, directly in front of the Federal Building; and 5th Street, between Austin and Waco Streets. The detours will lead citizens around the street closures, and allow proper access to the buildings surrounding the construction.
