The Port Arthur Parks and Recreation Department honored a Marine who had roots established in Port Arthur, Texas, in a stirring ceremony unveiling a monument in honor of the memory of 1st Lieutenant Adam E. Simpson, Jr. at the Downtown Pavilion, 500 Procter Street, at 10:00 AM. The Proclamation was read into the record by Councilmember Ingrid Holmes.
