The City of Port Arthur’s Water Utilities Department will begin the repair of a 12-inch waterline on the southwest corner of the Jefferson Drive (SH 347) and Gulfway Drive (SH 87) intersection on Thursday, July 1^st. Work is expected to end within a week, depending on weather conditions.

Attached is the updated traffic control plan reflecting the closure of both southbound through lanes of Jefferson Drive extending from Dryden Road to the south of the Gulfway Drive/Jefferson Drive intersection. In addition to the Jefferson Drive closures, the eastbound right lane of Gulfway Drive is closed. The westbound left turn lane on Gulfway Drive is also closed.

 The Public Works Department’s Streets Division has updated the traffic control layout as shown below.
